3rd SMAPE Stakeholders Meeting: Focusing on the North Aegean Regional Operational Program

The 3rd stakeholders workshop of SMAPE (Shared Mobility Action Programs Exchange) was successfully held on Monday, July 8, 2024. The event took place in Mytilene at the Chamber of Lesvos and brought together representatives from public and private bodies, academics, and interested citizens.

The meeting's agenda included two main topics of discussion:

1. The North Aegean Regional Operational Program 2021-2027: Participants discussed the strategies and priorities of the North Aegean ROP for the current programming period. Emphasis was placed on improving infrastructure, strengthening sustainable development, and supporting entrepreneurship in the region.
2. Shared mobility systems in the North Aegean ROP 2021-2027: The second thematic unit focused on the potential and prospects of shared mobility systems. Participants analyzed the challenges and opportunities presented for the integration of these systems in urban and rural areas of the North Aegean.

The meeting concluded with a constructive dialogue where all attendees exchanged ideas and proposals for improving mobility and promoting sustainable development in the region.
